So Republicans were completely against the Stimulus plan and it ped does this mean?

That Republicans are completely and utterly completely powerless currently? Does this mean we can do whatever we'd like, and neither the Republicans nor any of the Neocons on here can do a single thing about it? That's what it seems like to me, but just wondering if that's how it really is... are they completely unimportant and powerless in America now?
