Why do any regard global warming as a myth?

The truth is too scary for them. If they face the facts then they would have to change their ways for their kids well being. We know that global warming is not a myth. It's happened before and will again. We know that the planet is warming on average. Maybe not everywhere all at once and mostly not enough to notice, but it is warming. To just get people to admit that much would be a monumental task. To get them to believe that there's a possibility that they are adding to the natural warming is impossible.
