Intermittent starting on 97 suburban?

It always turned over quickly with no problems. My Burban will usually turn over the first time trying, like it always has; however, turning it off (even before it warms up) and starting it again, it will just keep cranking. I let it set for sometime, and it will start again, but turn it off, and back on, and it wont turn over. I had it hooked up to a code reader, and it said everything was ok, of course if that were true, I would'nt be having starting trouble. I just replaced the cap and rotar, and same trouble. Can anyone help me? It's a 97 GMC Suburban 4X4 with the Vortec 350.... I'm begging for help.

Why do my testicles hurt?

Okay, so three days ago, my right testicle started hurting. Its not a full blown pain, but a sort of irritating uncomfortable feeling. I did some research on it. It is not testicular torsion because i was not in severe pain of any kind. The symptoms that i have is slight pain in both testicles now, and some times pain in lower belly. However, there is no redness, no swelling, no bumps, they do not feel hot,and no shortness of breath. That irritating feeling was in and out. But now its almost like its always there. Not affecting me in an way where i cant walk or do normal activities. Its like i have a feeling of blue (the case where you do not after significant arousal) all the time, yet they do not hurt when i touch them. Its almost like the feeling is above the testicles. So.... we decrease our dependence on oil with a material (largely) derived from corn and corn by-products. Doesn't this set off any alarms with people? How many times have crops failed due to drought, disease, locust, etc? So we take a huge quantity of our nation's corn crop and convert it into fuel. Then along comes a drought or a reduced growing season... both of which can be a result of global warming. Then the price skyrockets because there is less supply to feed an ever growing demand. And I seriously doubt this country could produce enough ethanol to make a huge dent in our energy needs. So we would be at the mercy of foreign-produced ethanol and back where we started... depending on foreign supplies. I will forever think the best solutions for the regular transportation user is electric. There have been huge advances in this area. Let's let the power utilities manage the energy production. I've always been very sensitive to children & their needs, but I do think I've become more outwardly emotional about it. I think before I was able to mask my emotions, now I'll hear something about child abuse/neglect/starvation & I can't hold back the tears. Am I hopelessly broken hearted?

When I was 17 years old, I met a guy named..let's call him Jay. Jay and I connected instantly. Within three months we got our first apartment together and were practically inseperable. I ended up going away for college and cried the entire trip and first week I was there. I ended up driving three hours one way EVERY weekend just to be near him for a day. But we were young, and I was insecure and thought he was cheating on me so we broke up. After a month of avoiding him calling and calling and calling (I was away at school) the calls suddenly stopped. It scared me to death, so I called him to see if he was okay or had gotten hurt. He was fine physically, but so depressed that he was moving across country (Literally east coast to west coast) to live with his dad. It felt like someone had stabbed me. It took me less than two heart beats to decide that I was going with him to wherever he was. So I packed my bags and we moved. Life was great. We were always smiling and laughing, we did so many amazing things...adventures I guess I consider them...and then, when I was 21 I found out I was pregnant. Everything went down hill from there as my attention turned away from him onto our child that I was carrying. And he became abusive. I tolerated the unusual negative behavior until our son was 4 months old, and I finally couldn't take it anymore, so i decided I was moving back to the east coast. There was never a discussion, if I went, he was going to go. So we moved, and life settled down. He actually really began to enjoy being a parent and I thought the worst was behind us...until we got pregnant AGAIN, less than 6 months after having our first son. The pattern of abusive behavior began again, and reckless behavior on his part...but not until I started to show that I was carrying a child. By the time our second son was two months old I called the police and had him arrested for one of the many abusive inciddents. And I knew that I had made the right choice. I was a single mother of two infants for almost a year, when I met my current husband. He had 6 children from a previous marriage so he enjoyed the babies. It took almost too much time and energy to blend our families, or even to form a deeply rooted bond between the two of us (even though he is an amazing man) and I just wrote it off to being so hurt by Jay. It's been over three years since I've seen Jay's face, heard his voice, even asked about him, but when I close my eyes at night it's his face that I dream about. I know that I should be scared of him, but honestly, after the anger wore off...the sense of abandonment, there's just been an enormous feeling of loss. When I allow myself to think about him it feels like someone is stabbing me right in the center of my stomach and I almost have to bend over from the pain. I just don't know where I go from here..I've moved on. I'm married to a wonderful, respectable man who brings out the best in me and loves and accepts my children. But I can't help feeling like I've lost everything...Am I absolutly hopeless? Are these feelings due to the abuse in the relationship? Or did we really have something more that we just weren't ready for?

Wow, that brat is really unappreciative. First, you may want to let your fiance know that the situation is stressing you and that you would like to have a talk with his sister. Ask him to stand in agreement with you so you both can combat her together. You don't have to make it seem as if your ganging up on her, however let her know that everybody else is pulling their own weight around the house and it gets tiresome for you all to keep babying her. Just keep adding clips to your storyboard. I use pinacle studio 11 and I have added videos from my canon A570 IS digital camera and files from my canon elura 65 camcorder and then a slide show of stills, all in one project, but I am using studio 11. You have to import everything before you finish your project.

Why won't my SATA hard drive work?

I'm trying to add a second hard drive for some extra room, not booting windows from it or anything. SATA and power cables in fine, BIOS auto recognises correctly, vista disk manager recognises it fine but it won't format and Western Digital diagnostics tool says "Cable test:: Read diagnostics sector error". I've tried a few different cables and power cables and all my SATA ports with my existing work-a-day drive and its fine and dandy. I keep sending these Western Digital drives (1.5Tb Caviar Green) back and the retailer has sent out the same model with the same problem numerous times. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do differently?

Probably not going to happen with a UC. Most that get into a UC have nothing lower than a B in any cl. You should have a good chance of getting into a CSU though. It is a plus for you taking AP cles as it shows you want to challenge yourself. You definitely need to stop getting D's though. If you don't understand the material, get with the teacher before or after school. If that doesn't help, get a tutor. I don't know if extracurricular activities are taking you away from your studies, but if they are, you need to stop them until your grades improve. You are at a point now that if you can show improvement, you can really increase your odds of getting into a good college. Good luck!

I would definitely take both of them. While it is very true that cats are more attached to heir places than their people, if they are attached to other cats, that is important too. It will make the move much easier for both of them if they go together. If they are scared, they will have each other to reure them. It shouldn't take them more than 3-5 days to settle in if they are together, however, if you take only one, it could take months.

During my 10 months of post-military job searching without a single interview a small handful of emails were sent to me saying "not enough education." This last summer semester I cranked out an ociates in general studies by CLEPing and taking golf, bowling, etc. at a community college. I'm now 4 for 5 getting interviews since putting the degree on my resume with two of the four offering me a position. How to properly nurture a "gifted" toddler?

Today we found out that our 16 month old is "gifted" or very advanced cognativly/socially/imaginativly for her age. The pedi basically just said to read to her constantly, allow her to play with others often, and also do skill based games (puzzles/blocks/shapes) with her. Does anyone else have any experience with a "gifted/advanced" toddler? I dont want to turn her into one of those geeky freak kids who skips 5 grades, but I also don't want to hinder any abilites she may grow to have. I understand at this age it is more of a developmental quotent then an intelligance quotent, however there are other correlating facotrs that she exhabits to leave her pedi to believe she is/will continue to be "gifted". Any suggestions/advice?

Does taking courses at night school and summer school affect University applications?

I'm a grade 11 student in Ontario. I have ESL courses instead of grade 11 English in this school year since this is my first year in Canada. I don't know whether it's a good idea for me to take ENG3U in summer school and ENG4U in night school. I know the marks are much easier to earn, however, a friend of my told me that courses token at night school and summer school will affect my university application. Is that real? Do universities really care about the reputation of students' high schools? And I'm thinking about applying U of T for engineering. In their website, it's said that "The “out of school” component of Grade 12 U/M co-op courses will not be accepted for admission purposes". If your child was a brat, would you know it?

It's all about expectations. People's expectations of children's behaviour seem to be getting lower and lower as the years go by. I was born when my brother had just turned 2 years old. Before my birth my brother accompanied my mother to all of her doctors appointments, and while she was being examined or whatever she would expect him to sit still on a chair and hold her handbag. And he did it. How many parents would expect that from a child less than 2 these days? And he was no angel, he could be like any other child, but when certain behaviour was expected of him, he (usually!) complied. These days parents don't expect kids to behave themselves, and they let them get away with horrible behaviour. When I got married a relative's 2 kids were really during the sit down meal - rushing about, talking loudly during the speeches, and coming perilously close to knocking my wedding cake over (If that had happened I doubt this relative and I would still be on speaking turns as I would have had serious words with her and her children!) They weren't toddlers either, but other people just laughed their behaviour away as 'boys will be boys!' I don't think that's an excuse. Yes, I do believe that boys often are naturally a little more boisterous and active than (some) girls, but that's all the more reason to monitor their behaviour more closely and discipline them when necessary. I also think that parents don't like discipling their children, as they are worried that their children won't love them as much, or they don't want to be seen as the 'bad guy.' Or, they just don't want to deal with the hle of following through on a punishment that they have threatened. I don't have kids yet, but I am a teacher, and like to think that when I have children then I will have high expectations of good behaviour from them, and if I notice that they are little brats then I would definitely do something about it!

What illness might I have?

I have been coughing up yellow mucus at least 25 times a day, sometimes more, and very large amounts of mucus come up. I'm on IB 800 right now, but when I'm not, the left side of my throat hurts just under my jaw on the inside and i can feel some swelling, a possible enlarged m (lymph node, salivary gland, thryoid, no idea?), and also my lungs hurt when I cough. I have really bad aches and pains shortly after getting up in the morning that get horribly worse when I sit or stand for extended periods of time. I get very random, but very frequent chills (not a shiver, but like a wave of tingling that quickly goes throughout the body), I have not experiences any vomiting, congestion, or headaches. I randomly feel slightly faint and my head will occionally throb once or twice every 15 or so minutes. Any ideas? Family history: hypertension, diabetes (type 2), hypothyroidism, no cancer, heart disease, grown up around smoking, i used to have asthma (my mom decided i grew out of it and stopped filling my inhaler). Any ideas what might be wrong with me?

Break the menial job cycle with no college degree?

Is it possible to get away from mindless menial jobs. I am pretty intelligent. Can build computer from the ground up, wire circuit boards and anything else electrical. Have a knack for fixing things (so I am told) I went to a trade school for automotive but am having little luck with that field. I have changed oil only for a few years and while proving myself competent by fixing vehicles that no one else could I was stuck changing oil. Then I worked on an embly line for two years and now am working for TSA. Is it possible to break this cycle and find a job thats more challenging and pays enough for me to live on? I dont have champagne wishes and caviar dreams. I know someone will see "Be thankful you have a job" and I am but feel like I am on a dead end road.

Do cardio exercise or use very light weights when working out and doing squats, lunges, etc. Heavy weights will build bulky muscle but light weights (5lbs or under) will help you burn more calories than just cardio alone.

My ring doesn't fit :(?

My fiancee and I have had so much fun *sarcasm* trying to get my ring the right size. They told us from the beginning that because of the pave style band, I would need a size 4 with beads to make it fit my size 3.5 finger. Well! The ring comes in... no beads... and they say it is a 3.75. Well we have to wait to make the final payment before we can send it off to be resized at THEIR jeweler and they will be able to get it down to a 3.5 without beads (we went to Helzberg) WELL! when we come back again to try it on they tell us the ring is a 4, not a 3.75 and that I need a size 3.25 not a 3.5 and it WILL requires beads. Okay. All this time they make it seem like no matter what size I am, they will be able to adjust the ring so it will fit. My fiancee picked up the ring last week and lo and behold it doesn't fit! It slides in the cool, and grips in the heat, but it is never snug because it isn't a complete band, just two beads that are supposed to keep the ring on my finger. All they do is dig in to the underneath at two points and BARELY keep the ring from doing anything other than turning. So I'm not sure what to do. Guess what? I'm back after not playing 1 entire year of yugioh. I've been really watching other duelists play so much that I've been able to emble pretty strong and fast and unbeatable decks. Anyway, I love Yu-Gi-Oh! All right, no more pouring my heart out. Let's get down to business! It looks like your deck isn't focused on one specific strategy. For example, some of the best decks have something in common, one strategy. The Blackwings focus partially on swarming the field before your oppnent can emble anything. Also, the Lightsworns focus on sending their cards from the top of their deck to the graveyard so that they can...Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that cards such as the ones you're showing me won't work together. At least you're staying intact with a 40-card deck, which is a good thing. Here's an idea. Pick a card or cards that you like from your deck, then work around it by adding cards that would help it any way possible. For example, if you chose chainsaw insect, then the best kind of strategy you should stick to would be to empty your opponent's deck, while getting the cards you want with Appropriate. Try running three copies of them both, take out every other card that doesn't revovle around it, and add some other helping cards. Makes sense doesn't it!!

I have been thinking about a new career joining the police force and getting involved as a police photographer. Sounds like a lot of dishonesty between you and him, on both parts. He probably got his feelings hurt, when you rejected him, and he's having a hard time being just your friend. This is common. If you two aren't getting along, just leave him alone. I think he's being hostile because he liked you, and he would still probably go out with you, and he's not smart enough to realize he should just move on. It obviously sounds like he doesn't enjoy being just your friend, but he probably is thinking he might have a chance with you some day. It just sounds too complicated, if he's a jerk to you just step aside, don't give into him.

I know, all offensive. What I'm looking for is what makes one less worse than the others. My own feelings are that sucking one's thumb doesn't interfere with the space of others, so it's less offensive than farting. One can clean one's thumb, as opposed to one's boogers, so thumbsucking is the least offensive. Daughter 2yrs struggles eating meat?

We struggled with this as our older daughter ate everything we put in front of her but our youngest would not eat meat from about 22 months to almost 33 months. She still is not real good about eating meat. We just kept on feeding her what everyone else in the family got. She would eat what she wanted and if she was still hungry, we have the "At least 2 bites" rule. Then we would give her other things to eat. Never a treat, but more veggies, or fruit or bread. Our doctor said her behavior was not uncommon and not to worry about it. He liked our rule and offered that kids that age will eat until they are full and then stop. She is petite, but healthy and has more energy that most kids.
