Question: Why can't the Suns just give Amar'e Stoudemire the contract he wants and resign him?

I agree with you I think that the Suns need to keep him. He is the Best Center in the West. He is hard to guard. I think the Suns mainly are trying to get a couple good players for him. Like trade and get a better back-up (future replacement) for Nash and hopefully a good center power forward in return. But I agree he is a huge part of there offense and if you can score more points than the other team that's all that matters cuz you would win, so that would make it so he doesn't have to have the best defense. You just score tons and that's what Amare can do,
